Ahh the personal blog. Just the phrase makes me cringe a little. Never did I think that I would create such a beast, but here it is.

Taking yourself too seriously is a horrible fate that I want to avoid at all costs. With that in mind, I intend to occasionally write here on things on random things that aren’t directly related to anything I’m working on. The topics will probably range all over the place, but it’s a personal blog, I’m allowed. My motivation to write things here is primarily selfish; the act of writing down thoughts often helps me formulate my ideas into neat balls that I can then file away, rather than having all sorts of mismatched pieces floating around in my head. If any of these carefully wound balls end up being informative, entertaining, or helpful in some way to readers, all the better.
